Sanity Saver

I heard from a good friend in California today catching me up on what's going on in her world. One of the things she got me up to date on was a cool site she and her husband created a few years ago. The idea for the site, like most great concepts, came out of needing a solution to a problem in their own lives.

The story goes that one weekend, after a fruitless trip to the local video store, they asked themselves for the umpteenth time why they had to pack all 4 girls into the car to go to the video store just to find out that there were no games available? [And, for those of you who have experienced Southern California traffic, you doubly understand why every car trip must have a purpose, lol.] Once they got home, the whole crew discussed the options and, out of that discussion, Gamerang was born. Gamerang launched its game rental service in 2003 with the goal of using the Internet to make it easier for people to find and rent the console games they want to play. They have a number of good reasons to use the site, however, I think the most important one is the underlying goal of saving the parents sanity.
